There's a construction site on my way home from work where a hospital is being built. There are some MASSIVE cranes being used to put this thing together, and I think I am obsessed with them!
This hospital has been under construction for quite some time and I always noticed the cranes inching their way up the stacks (that's the name I made up for them so hmmpf!) little by little. Well in the last few weeks they've made their way to the top and all the glass has been put in on the side of the building. The result is some amazing sunset shots with no light peeking through any of the window holes. I finally made it a point to stop and take some pictures of these things this past Sunday when I was getting off of work. This is the result:
So I finally got a great sunset shot of these two metallic beasts. I love how the hard lines and angles of the cranes and the building clash with the soft curves of the light of the setting sun and the little tufts of clouds scattered about. I thought, finally, I can be free of the cranes! Well, then on my way home today, I see the sun setting AND clouds behind the cranes, but NOT in front. This is the shot that resulted from that!
