Google I/O 2011 Keynote Speech Highlights
This year's Google I/O opening keynote speech held some awesome announcements for Android.
Given that this is the first I/O that I've experienced while owning an Android device, I was definitely excited to see some of the things that were announced. Relevant links are in the descriptions to the videos on their respective YouTube pages. A complete list of all announcements can be found on the I/O conference homepage.

The Twin Cranes
There's a construction site on my way home from work where a hospital is being built. There are some MASSIVE cranes being used to put this thing together, and I think I am obsessed with them!
This hospital has been under construction for quite some time and I always noticed the cranes inching their way up the stacks (that's the name I made up for them so hmmpf!) little by little. Well in the last few weeks they've made their way to the top and all the glass has been put in on the side of the building. The result is some amazing sunset shots with no light peeking through any of the window holes. I finally made it a point to stop and take some pictures of these things this past Sunday when I was getting off of work. This is the result:
